"Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord brigeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad."                               Psalm 14:7

WE ARE NOT ZION!
Did you ever asked yourself why was our Lord thirsty?
We all presumed to take such “last words” as part of His agony; and knowing how our body functions, it was also our best educated assumption.
Other explanation is because He needed to fulfill His messianic prophecy given at Psalm 69:21: "They gave Me also gall for My meat; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink."

But I would love to take you into a deeper truth? Do you remember those sayings from our Lord: “but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” And “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” These declarations can easily be compared to “wells of water” that will never cease giving or flowing out to those who need them. Keep these thoughts on back of your mind!
Now, I would like to give a brief illustration about what the Bible say pertaining to those who “thirst”, but because of my lack of time, just consider words like “longing” with the same effect to “thirsting ” (longing to know the truth), longing for restoring and revitalizing (is that - revitalizing, what water does? right). Now, go back few months before our Lord crucifixion and picture Him as a “well of water”. Isn’t this paradoxical?
Read all the passages in the Bible that speak about “wells” and see the importance they have in their history

(Oh God! I wish I could elaborate more on this, but I am so eager to share what You shared with me last night).

Wells supplied water in the desert, in the evening, think of a well of living waters too. Thanks to the wells, they were fruitful, and God spoke to them through the well. Remember the woman on John 4 (by the well)? And what happened when they found wells with no water? .........Oh God, this is rich!!!!
Our Lord Jesus was with no doubt, a rich well of living waters! But He had to empty Himself at Calvary, and to make sure that everyone present saw that Hew was completely empty, the spear of the soldier had to make his last incision. AND WHAT CAME OUT OF IT? …..WATER!!!

Now, do you know what ZION means? I know the Bible spoke thru the prophet Isaiah when Isaiah mentioned that YHWH dwells on Mount Zion (8:18), and we have seen how Zion relates to the eternal Jerusalem and heaven (Hebrew 12:22 and Rev. 14:1). But without giving you much Greek or Hebrew classes, the word Zion means “dryness, and drought (Psalm 105:41) You see, a dry place is not a place where people die of thirst, but rather a place where the sea is no more a sea, after it has given all her treasures (Revelation 21:1) …..“GIVING ALL HER TREASURES”, doesn’t that same illustrations speaks of our Lord Jesus at the Cross? In order to experience a drought, there had to be abundance of water (before the drought) or else it was never a drought place but a desert! Do you get my point?

If ZION is a place that used to be rich, but it emptied itself, I cannot fit myself as if I was RICH before and then I emptied myself, I truly don’t qualified for such kind of dryness, drought or emptiness, BUT I KNOW WHO DOES!!!

What’s my point? Our Lord Jesus made it very clear at the Cross that He was Zion! But since I now die and live in HIM, I can be seen as Zion too. But it is not by our merits, our knowledge, or our position, it is because of HIM!! WITHOUT HIM, I am nothing!

Now, You tell me who has emptied himself first...like Jesus did!
You tell me who can truly empty himself NOW, or wants to do it (unconditionally!!). Many leaders preach emptiness but without Him, they are just bluffing!
He is the true Zion! We have stolen much honor that belongs to Him alone!
WE CAN ONLY BECOME ZION ...........IN HIM

I am not mad, but I can see in the Spirit how many people want to achieve so many things, but have forgotten how to surrender, how to die, how to carry that Cross, how to embrace His PASSION.

JESUS, you are my everything, and ONLY IN HIM....I have my true being!

To faithfully serve Him,
Hiram
